The analytics firm NetMartketShare has released the operating systems market share figure for the month of January 2016.
Based on the numbers, it seems Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system is on the rise, grabbing a market share of 11.85 percent as of January 2016, increasing from 9.96 percent in December. This is definitely something to cheer about for the folks at Redmond as Windows 10 market share is continuously on the rise ever since its launch in July 2015. Microsoft is offering Windows 10 as a free upgrade for users running Windows 8 and Windows 7 for a year after which they’ll have to purchase it. So, make sure to upgrade to Windows 10 before July and see if it’s good for you. Otherwise, you have the option to roll back and switch to your existing operating system.
